Increasing Amplifier Output Power and Efficiency
Providing Nonlinear Microwave Predistortion Solutions
Linearizers decrease non-linear distortion which allows a high-power amplifier (HPA) to significantly increase its effective output power and efficiency. A linearizer must be carefully matched to cancel the distortion of a particular non-linear amplifier. This requires the linearizer to operate over a wide range of frequencies, bandwidths and power levels, in addition to operating under various modulations, across many different applications. MACOM’s linearizers can therefore reduce the initial cost of HPAs as well as ongoing operating costs related to power consumption and thermal management.

The S-Series linearizer is a front-end mini-system used in conjunction with a TWTA, MPM, or SSPA amplifier to provide superior HPA linearity performance. Various power levels and options available, including RF inhibit and output power monitoring.

The X-Series linearizer is a compact set-and-forget linearizer module used in conjunction with GaN SSPAs or TWTAs to provide compact outstanding linearity over a wide frequency and temperature range.

L-Series | V-Band
Compact Analog Controlled Linearizer for V-Band Amplifiers
The L-Series linearizer is a frontend mini-system used in conjunction with a TWTA, MPM, or SSPA amplifier to provide superior HPA linearity perfor-mance. It provides RF gain, predistortion, input and output level control, and RF output power to drive an amplifier to saturation. It typically provides a 4x power increase with multicarrier traffic and advanced digital modulation. The L-Series is available but not limited to all Satcom uplink bands L- through V-band.
H-Series | V-Band

The H-Series linearizer is a frontend mini-system used in conjunction with a TWTA or MPM amplifier to provide superior HPA linearity performance. It typically provides RF gain, predistortion, input and output level control, and RF output power to drive an amplifier to saturation. It typically provides a 4X power increase with multicarrier traffic and advanced digital modulation. The H-Series is also available as a Solid-State Amplifier (SSA).
